"Service above self - serving above all personal interest"

In expressing these values, on May 4, at the noble halls of Palazzo Cusani, in Via del Carmine 8, in Milan, the prizes will be awarded to the most deserving Milanese citizens, citizens who have distinguished themselves for actions of civil courage, commitment personal and altruism.

This is an initiative successfully launched in 2004 in collaboration with the Milan Police Headquarters. The operation is aimed at raising public awareness in Milan on the issues of: civic and moral sense of the citizen, sense of belonging to the community in which we live, concrete and positive examples of real life in Milan, services offered by the police and collaboration with citizens.

The Rotary International Net Service consists of identifying, rewarding and highlighting citizens (and Associations) who have distinguished themselves in the last year. Citizens are identified and chosen by the Neighborhood Committees and the Police Headquarters on the basis of shared criteria. At Cusani, Danilo Vitali, President of the promoter Club, together with the Governor of the District 2041 Simonetta Tiezzi, will award the plaques to the winners, whose names and stories will be announced shortly.

On Monday 25th November a wonderful evening was held at Palazzo Cusani on the theme: "INPS: AN OVERVIEW OF THE MAIN ITALIAN PREVIDENTIAL INSTITUTION."
The speaker was Dr. Silvio Vagnarelli, head of the Milan Medical Legal Center and Coordinator of the Lombardy Region.
All the medical functions to which the INPS and the activity of the forensic medical center are delegated were clearly illustrated:
- the illness
- unemployment benefits
- social security disability
- civil invalidity
- the law 104
Despite being an activity that carries out millions of services a year, few were aware of these functions and their meanings.
To clarify these topics was for the large audience, very interesting and enriching.

The evening began with a touching speech by our honorary partner Roberto Pontremoli concerning the Day of Remembrance. A minute's silence followed to remember and honor the victims of the Shoah.

After this emotional moment, Prof. Eugenio Romeo and Dr. Martina Vogel gave a short summary on the role of the NHS in the field Dental, speaking about its evolution over the past 20 years, from the introduction of "tickets" to paid services.

Cinzia Prazzoli, instead, exposed the social issue in Dentistry describing the itinerant humanitarian project of "Overland for Smile" now in its thirteenth year of activity. An engaging and very touching evening.
